About Me

I was born in Hartlepool, a small town in the North of England, my dream was always to sing Jazz, but like most young Northern girls I conformed into a "normal" job, mine being hairdressing/beauty.

At the age of twenty seven I decided to pursue my dream, I didn't have any experience what so ever, or voice coaching, so the odds were against me, but, I succeeded, and went on to travel the world singing the music I was so passionate about.I performed at venues such as Caesars Palace in Atlantic City, The Blue Note in Las Vegas, Bird land in New York, I toured with the famous Syd Lawrence orchestra, I even had a screen test in New York with CBS! My career was soaring!

Then disaster struck, in 2004, my car was ran of the road by a drunk driver, and plummeted over a 60 ft ravine.

I was given an hour to live by the surgeon.
My injuries were horrific, nine broken ribs, leg shattered in 20 places, broken fingers, my forehead was peeled back, the result of going through the windscreen, but worst of all, my lung was so badly punctured that I was told there was only a slim chance that I would regain the power back in my voice..

But I was so determined to get back to work, 12 weeks later, although my forehead was glued together, my legs pinned and plated and still limping, I was so enthralled to have been given a second chance at life that I didn't care about the pain and discomfort, I was back singing in a 1000 seat theatre, with a new found zest for life, and voice stronger than ever!!

Then, fate dealt me another blow.
About a year later, just getting back on my feet, I discovered a lump in my throat.

Although it wasn't cancerous, I was told that there was only a ten percent chance that my voice would come back..

I was devastated..but again, forever optimistic, and always positive, I spent three years hard training with a vocal coach and my voice came back stronger than ever and now, I've just released my new album!, and also currently writing a book on my experiences.

Also, I have concerts over in America in February 2012.
I feel that I've been given a second chance at life, and cant wait to start my new journey!

The rest of my story is yet to be told...
